The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy is an internationally recognised vocational qualification regulated by Ofqual and based on the National Occupational Standards for massage therapy. It is endorsed by the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC), the General Council for Massage Therapies (GCMT), and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) — an accredited register holder under the Professional Standards Authority — the same professional bodies that govern sports massage practice across the UK and internationally.
This qualification covers everything needed to work as a professional sports massage therapist, including anatomy and physiology, soft tissue dysfunction, health and fitness principles, professional practice, and hands-on treatment skills across pre-event, post-event, intra-event, and maintenance contexts. It is a standalone Level 3 diploma that also serves as a direct pathway into the VTCT Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy. LIFN is the only VTCT-approved fitness education centre in Sri Lanka, delivering this programme with bilingual instruction in Sinhala and English.
WHY THIS QUALIFICATION MATTERS

The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) is the UK's largest professional association for therapists, holding accredited register status with the Professional Standards Authority — the independent body that oversees health and care regulators across the UK. FHT membership is widely recognised by employers, insurers, and clients as a mark of professional credibility, and is often a requirement to obtain professional indemnity insurance to practice. This qualification is recognised by the FHT, making you eligible for professional FHT membership upon completion — opening doors to practice legally and professionally in the UK, Middle East, and beyond.
