Terms of Enrolment

• The details you give must be true and complete. Use your name exactly as it appears on your NIC — it is the name printed on your certificate.
• Your place is confirmed once we have verified your payment. Until then, a submitted registration does not guarantee a place.
• Some courses have entry requirements (for example age or prior qualifications). We may ask for proof, and may decline a registration that doesn't meet them — in which case you get a full refund.

• You pay the fee shown when you register, either in full or under the payment plan you chose. Installments are paid monthly, on the schedule of that plan, counted from the start of your course.
• Installment plans include an installment charge for each monthly payment (for example LKR 880 on our NVQ courses). It is already included in the amounts shown for each plan; paying the balance within one month carries no charge.
• A late fee of LKR 800 is charged if an installment is paid more than 5 days after its due date.
• If an installment is still unpaid 4 weeks after its due date, your studentship is cancelled.
• Pay by online transfer or bank deposit to LIFN's account (details on the payments page), or in person at the institute. Every transfer or deposit must be sent to us through the payment submission form — receipts sent by WhatsApp or email are not accepted.
• Certificates are only issued once all fees for the course have been paid.
• Course prices may change over time; the price that applied when you registered is the one you pay.

• Offers apply only between their start and end dates, and while seats last.
• Offers can't be combined with each other unless we say so.
• A bundle offer covers all the courses in the bundle; leaving one course is handled under the refund policy.

• Attend your classes and complete your assessments as set out for your course. Awarding-body courses (such as VTCT and NASM) also follow that body's rules.
• We may change timetables, lecturers or venues when needed. If a change is significant, we will tell you in advance and explain your options.
• Your work must be your own. Copying, cheating or helping others to cheat is malpractice and may lead to your result being withheld and the matter being reported to the awarding body.

• You receive a certificate when you pass the required assessments and all fees are paid.
• Qualifications from awarding bodies (for example VTCT, NASM or TVEC) are issued by those bodies, and their timelines apply.
• Certificates can be checked by anyone through our certificate verification page — see the Privacy Policy for what is shown.

• Many courses include practical, physical sessions. Tell us about any medical condition or injury that could affect you before you take part.
• Follow your lecturer's safety instructions in practical sessions and in the gym.

Treat fellow students, staff and the premises with respect. We may suspend or end a student's enrolment for serious or repeated misconduct, harassment or behaviour that puts others at risk — in that case no refund is due.

We sometimes photograph or film classes, graduations and events and use them on our website and social media. If you'd rather not appear, tell your lecturer or email info@lifn.lk and we will respect that. You can also ask us to remove an image of you that is already published.
